Furthermore, through a journey through the Tuscan hills you can easily reach some villages from Volterra such as San Gimignano (30 min), Monteriggioni (45 minutes) or cities such as Siena (an hour), Lucca (an hour and a half), Pisa (an hour)

ROUTE 3 - ROMAN AMPHITHEATRE - FREE GUIDED TOUR
“The amphitheater that wasn’t there” recently rediscovered and already considered the discovery of the century by many experts, is located a short distance from the Roman Theater, cementing the area as the recreational district of Volterra in the Roman period.
Archaeological excavations are currently underway, guided tours are available by reservation only on weekends.
